Obituary of Zegment Novacinski

Zegment Novacinski, 91, of Cloquet passed away due to respiratory complications Wednesday, April 24, 2024. He was born June 5, 1932, to Alex and Pelogia Novacinski.  

Zegment served in the US Army during the Korean War conflict. After returning, he worked for Potlatch as a machine operator for 48 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and Potlatch Quarter Century. 

Zegment married JoAnn Gunski and enjoyed 67 years together. Zeg loved to fish, hunt, garden, and spend time in the country. 

Zegment is preceded in death by his parents, son Michael, 8 brothers, and 4 sisters.  

Zegment will be sadly missed by his wife JoAnn, son Jeff, and several nieces and nephews.  

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 1^st, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Atkins Northland Funeral Home 801 14^th Street, Cloquet, MN 55720, until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service. Burial will be at New Calvary followed by lunch at Atkins.
